Android Library Issue: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

I am working on an Android app in my free time and deciding to add an update I opened the app in Eclipse and tried to build it after adding few lines of code. The app needed to be force closed and I was surprised as the code by any means wouldn’t have caused any problems. Continue reading

Wikipedia: More Contribution Required – Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

Wikipedia has been one of my best friends through out my stay in University of Peradeniya as a Engineering undergraduate. It has helped me complete a lot of lab-reports and answer countless assignments. But as I reach my final years, I find that relevant  topics (to subject matters) in Wikipedia to be not very useful. Continue reading

A Search Tip : Search for Content with a Specific File Type

Bing and Google SearchLooking for some thing? Some thing of a specific file type. I often search for white-papers and power-point presentations that might contain helpful information about what I am learning and I am sure you do the same for what interest you. Are you using the filetype  keyword in your search? If not, filetype is a cool keyword which will restrict the search-space to files with a specific file-type (extension).

IDM – Resuming download that doesn’t resume

Internet Download ManagerIDM is a great tool to download files from the Internet and I use it often. Most of the time its a time saver, but some of the time its nuts and doesn’t resume a download (I doubt its a IDM fault).

IDM tries to restart the download if a download has failed. If it can’t it will open the page that triggered the download and see if it works. But at this moment if it fails then its time to download the file from scratch. But wait… try this out. Continue reading

SLT BroadBand – Family Package – 25GB – The Ugly?

SLT NETSLT or Sri Lanka Telecom is the sole copper-wire telephone service provider in the nation. Not long ago, it was thriving without competition and with the introduction of Dialog GSM, Celltel (now Etisalat) and Hutch mobile operators their relevance in the market has declined. With the ever increasing competition from mobile competitors, SLT is desperately attempting to keep its head up by advertising and targeting new markets. Continue reading

I chose FatCow just about a year ago and today renewed my account as a happy customer. Continue reading

Warrior – A awesome story, good music…

Warrior 2011Honestly, Warrior has truly stunned me by its story. The day when I saw the banner in some renting store I thought it was good for the ‘animals’. But I ended up attaining a copy and in the first few minutes I was like ‘money down the drain’.

But what the story had for later was amazing. Kept me tuned in to my laptop forgetting me about the exam that is to start day after tomorrow. It’s about fighters, but its a hell of a  story that can make your heart skip a beat or two. Its one of those very few films that have gotten me to the edge of my seat and excited all the time (well except @ the beginning). Watch it and you will love it…  Continue reading
